Carol and Graham welcome you to Forget Me Not Holiday Cottage! We’re based in the beautiful village of Winchelsea Beach, nestled on the south coast, just an hour’s drive from Dover port and London.
We’ve lived in wonderful Winchelsea Beach for over 30 years. During our working lives we both worked in service industries and enjoyed service improvement and giving great service to our customers. We had a dream of buying the bungalow next door, which had a been empty for some years, and running it as a holiday cottage. We love living here and want to give you the opportunity of experiencing this utopia. Forget Me Not holiday cottage brings to life our vision of creating a very special holiday destination for everyone.
Asked the question ‘What do you like about living in Winchelsea Beach?’ a resident once said ‘It’s like a mini-paradise, five minutes from Rye and just over an hour from London. It’s real, it’s beautiful, with nice weather and the air is fabulous.’ We totally agree and we’d like to share this wonderful place with you.
Forget Me Not Cottage, located in a quiet cul-de-sac, is just 10 minutes easy, level walk to the sea. Winchelsea Beach boasts fantastic walks from your doorstep to Pett, Pett Level, Rye Harbour, Rye, Winchelsea and Icklesham.
There’s a Coop supermarket in the village, the Ship Pub and butcher/deli, Suttons vegetables and fish stall, a great cafe, 2 takeaways and a mobile fish & chip van which provides great food on a Friday evening outside Rye Bay Caravan Park. We’ve furnished and decorated Forget Me Not Cottage ourselves, using our design and upcycling skills, and have used our experience of staying in self catering cottages to provide everything you’ll need to have a special holiday. Forget Me Not is a bungalow and there is level access from your car to the front door.
